Social media influencer Japheth Omojuwa on Tuesday clashed on X with Obidients, as supporters of former presidential candidate Peter Obi are called.
Since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) began in Cote d’Ivoire this January, Mr Omojuwa has been posting on X about the tournament.
His critics say he was using sports as a distraction not to talk about politics considering the dwindling value of the naira and the state of insecurity in Nigeria.
Omojuwa, a supporter of President Bola Tinubu, has been firing back, stating that Obidients would always have something negative to say about him irrespective of what he writes on X.
