Oluchi Onweagba praised for supporting Ojy Okpe at father’s tribute

Model Oluchi Onweagba has received praise for supporting her friend, Ojy Okpe, during the service of songs for her father, Matthew Egwuenu.

The service of songs was held on Monday, April 6, in Lagos, with videos circulating on social media the following day. The event saw others like former governor of Rivers State Rotimi Amech, Miss World 2021 Agbani Darego and actress Genevieve Nnaji in attendance.

Egwuenu, a retired commissioner of police, died on February 6 at the age of 80.

Following the Lagos event, a vigil mass is scheduled for April 9 in Umukwata, Delta State. The burial mass will take place on April 10, with interment at the family compound in Obionyeonicha, Delta State.

Oluchi, who rose to international fame after winning the 1998 Face of Africa competition, has remained active in the fashion industry and maintains close ties with longtime friends.
