Olori Supergal wins new media award at TFAA 2016

Lifestyle and entertainment blogger, Tosin Ajibade, was on Sunday named winner of The Future Africa Awards for New Media at a ceremony held at Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.

The 29-year-old, better known as Olori Supergal, beat off competition from Femi Bakare and Adeyeri Michael, Ebenezar Wikina, Bizzle Oshikoya and Bashir Ahmaad.

Ajibade, a Lagos State University and Pan-Atlantic University alumnus, is also the organiser of the annual New Media Conference.

Another big winner at TFAA 2016 is Nigeria’s youngest commissioner, Mark Okoye, who heads the Economic Planning and Budget Development Team in Anambra State.

He won The Future Awards Africa Prize for Young Person of the Year

Okoye, 31, brings tenure as a senior member of the investment banking division at Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited where he was instrumental in executing numerous capital raising and financial advisory transactions to his new position, leaving  an illustrious investment banking career, to join the Anambra State economic think-tank.

Al Jazeera’s Chika Oduah was named Journalist of the Year.

The 11th edition of The Future Awards Africa had Ghana President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo, as keynote speaker.

Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Solid Mineral Development, Kayode Fayemi; Lagos Peoples Democratic Party Governorship Candidate, Jimi Agbaje; former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili; CEO of Ebonylife TV, Mo Abudu; Editor of ThisDay Style, Ruth Osime, and others were in attendance.
