Olori Naomi sings for Ooni, celebrates his 47th birthday with fireworks

Ooni of Ife marries new wife

Olori Naomi Ogunwusi, wife of the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has ushered her husband into a new year in grand style.

Olori Ogunwusi surprised her husband on his 47th birthday with fireworks and then led him to a gigantic cake where she sang for him.

The Ooni could not hide his admiration for his wife. Speaking in Yoruba, he blessed her for putting up a wonderful ceremony to celebrate him.

The Olori posted a video on Instagram showing snippets of things that occurred during the in-house party. She wrote as caption, “Congratulations my king, may the lord bless your new year.”

One male voice was heard in the background begging the Olori to “cut soap for him,” a local phrase for saying one needs a bit of someone else’s Midas touch.

The visibly-elated Ooni prayed for the people, saying they would continue to witness happy times in their lives.

Ooni and his wife announced the birth of their baby boy, heir to the throne, last November.
