Ogun records third coronavirus case, Lagos now 29

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed two new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Lagos and Ogun States.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the centre said one case is a returning traveller while the other is a contact of a previously confirmed case.

“2 new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria. 1 is in Lagos State & 1 in Ogun,” the tweet read.

“One case is a returning traveller. The second case is a contact of a previously confirmed case.

“As of 1 pm on March 24, there are 42 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria-2 discharged, 1 death.”

Ogun now has three confirmed cases while Lagos has 29.
