Odunlade Adekola no longer invite me to his productions – Lalude

Veteran actor Fatai Adetayo, popularly known as Lalude, has said that Odunlade Adekola no longer invites him to act in his movie productions.

Lalude made the comment in an interview shared online, recalling that he featured in a movie that helped bring Adekola to public attention. “Odunlade no longer invite me to his productions and I acted in part of the movies that brought him to limelight,” he said.

Lalude has had a long career in Yoruba cinema, often playing traditional and cultural roles, including herbalists and spiritual figures. He has appeared in films such as Aishepa, Ibinu Balogun, Ogbojo Kudeti, Mayegun, and Eran Meje, and he runs Lalude Film Productions.

Odunlade Adekola is one of Nigeria’s popular Yoruba-language actors and producers, with several films that have performed well across Nigeria and among the diaspora.

Lalude has also spoken in previous interviews about his long career in theatre and film, emphasizing that despite playing traditional healers on screen, he does not possess any mystical powers.
