Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo, has stretched his charitable virtues to China by visiting an orphanage.

Ighalo, who started playing football in the slums, has never forgotten his roots and regularly seeks to reach out to the less privileged in the society.

The forward owns his own orphanage in Nigeria but still went ahead to identify with another in Changchun, in the home city of his new club on Wednesday.

I had so much fun with the young boys at the orphanage home in Changchun today?⚽️???

Ighalo marked his 28th birthday on Friday.

The Changchun Yatai of China star on Monday shared a bit of his inspirational story on Instagram, disclosing that a girlfriend once left him because he had nothing to offer her.

Starting his career at Prime and Julius Berger in Nigeria, Ighalo had successful spells in Norway, Italy, Spain and England before joining Chinese Super League club Changchun Yatai for a reported £20 million.

He alongside fellow China-based Mikel Obi and Brown Ideye are expected to return to the Super Eagles after missing the last couple of games.
