Former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, has gifted cash to 20 Twitter users.

The 30-year-old announced his intention to do in a series of tweets on Monday.

“Ok I’m going to bless 20 people today so if e no reach you na till next Monday be that 🙏🏾,” he wrote.

The footballer jokingly revealed that he had received 200 accounts asking to be chosen.

“I don see like 200 accts for my page already 😂😂😂😂.”

Odion Ighalo faced disciplinary action from his club, Shanghai Shenhua, over his usage of social media earlier in the month.

According to the statement made by the Chinese club, Ighalo violated their rules and regulations by uploading pictures of his rehabilitation in Spain on social media.

Ighalo confirmed his retirement from representing the Nigerian national team in July.

The former Watford man struck five times as the Super Eagles finished third in the 2019 AFCON held in Egypt, bagging him the top scorer honours with two goals more than Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez and Cedric Bakambu.

In total Ighalo scored 16 goals for Nigeria in 35 appearances, and he also captained the country´s Under-20 team to the 2009 World Cup, also held in Egypt.
