Obasanjo, Adeboye, Okorocha, others attend opening of Esther Ajayi’s Lagos church

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife Foluke Adeboye on Sunday attended the grand commissioning of Love of Christ Generation Church Cathedral at Victoria Island, Lagos.

Adeboye led in cutting the ribbon while he was flanked by his wife and Obasanjo.

The church hosted Nigeria’s high society including traditional rulers from far and wide. Notable among the monarchs was the fashionable Oluwo of Iwo Kingdom Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi.

Vice President of the Republic of Liberia Jewel Howard-Taylor was also present.

Also in attendance was Senator Rochas Okorocha, former Ogun State governor Gbenga Daniel and publisher Dele Momodu.

Founder of the church Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi had revealed at a media parley a fortnight ago that the edifice, which took four years to complete, was built by the construction giant, Cappa D’Alberto Plc.

The cathedral has a 4,000-seater main church hall, 3,000-seater gallery, printing press, tailoring section, swimming pool, gym and a 3000-capacity event centre.
