OAU student: Hotelier Ramon Adedoyin, others arrive Osun for trial

The police have transferred hotelier Ramon Adedoyin and six other suspects in the death of a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Timothy Adegoke to Osun State.

The move followed insistence by the deceased’s family lawyer Femi Falana for the case to be moved back to Osun where the alleged incident occurred.

Adegoke reportedly died in Adedoyin’s Hilton Hotel last year in Osun and was secretly evacuated by hotel staff.

The police had charged Adedoyin with alleged of unlawful interference with the corpse among others while Adedeji Adesola, Magdalena Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwale Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem and Adebayo Kunle were arraigned on seven-count of conspiracy, attempted murder, murder, altering of receipt before a Federal High Court in Abuja before the case was withdrawn for transfer in February.

It was gathered that the suspects arrived in Osun on Wednesday evening.

Osun police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola confirmed their trial would commence on Thursday.
