Nigeria’s first COVID-19 vaccines to come from Pfizer-BioNTech – Official

Head of the National Primary Healthcare Agency Faisal Shuaib has disclosed that Nigeria is expected to get its first batch of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines by the end of January.

Presidential media aide Bashir Ahmad tweeted this on Wednesday.

“Nigeria is expected to get its first batch of COVID-19 (Pfizer-BioNTech) vaccines by the end of this month as part of its plan to inoculate 40% of the population this year and a further 30% next year, Dr Faisal Shuaib, head of the national primary healthcare agency has disclosed,” he wrote.

Minister of Health Osagie Ehanire had severally said the vaccines would arrive by the end of January, although he never specified which vaccines would be used.
