Nigerians pay tributes to journalist Yinka Craig 12 years after

Late Yinka-Craig

Nigerians on Twitter on Thursday paid tributes to the late sports broadcaster Yinka Craig 12 years after his death.

Craig, 61, died on September 23, 2008 in a US hospital. He died of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, a cancer disease that affects the white blood cells.

His son Dr Olamide Craig wrote an emotional piece posted on Twitter on Wednesday in memory of his father.

He wrote: “Hi papa, It’s been 12 years…I’ll be 40 soon, I am holding the fort. Chidinma is 2 going on 12. She has your laugh. Aisha talks about you all the time, Ollie joined you in April. He fought well. Kenny beat the Cancer. Temi is wining! We miss you, we love you. #YinkaCraig.”

Nigerians have taken the lead from Yinka’s son to share memories of the former Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) staff member.
