Niger Delta Today MD recovers from coronavirus after 12-day isolation

Niger Delta Today MD Theophilus Onojeghen

Managing Editor of Niger Delta Today, an online news platform, Theophilus Onojeghen, has recovered from the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.

A statement on Thursday by the NDT management said Mr Onojeghen has been discharged from an isolation centre in Delta State after repeated tests confirmed him negative for the virus.

The statement read: “Niger Delta Today (NDT) Online, publishers of the ‘news you can trust,’ is glad to share with our numerous readers, newsmakers, and followers that our Managing Editor (ME), Theophilus Onojeghen, who tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago has been discharged after repeated tests by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) proved negative.

“NDT is eternally grateful to God Almighty for prayers answered and the healing of our editor.

“It is most cheering to note that the tests for our editor’s wife and son turned out negative from results availed us by the National Centre for Disease Control.

“To reiterate our earlier containment advocacy, COVID-19 is real. The clear proof of the reality of this pandemic is the ordeal our editor had with this deadly and virulent illness.”

Onojeghen had tested positive for coronavirus on June 26.
