Physically challenged people at National Assembly

Several physically challenged persons from the Niger Delta protesters on Thursday at the National Assembly complex in Abuja.

They alleged they had been neglected by their representatives in the National Assembly.

The physically challenged persons forced themselves inside the complex despite resistance by security operatives.

Security aides of the Senate President Ahmad Lawan hurriedly moved away his official vehicles parked at the entrance of the Senate new wing.

Spokesperson for the physically challenged persons Amos Etim said they were being denied their rights despite being educated.

It was gathered that one of them lost consciousness but was revived.

The physically challenged persons were addressed by the Senate Deputy Whip Sabi Abdullahi and some senators from the Niger Delta region.
