NFF celebrates Super Falcon Ngozi Okobi at 25

Super Falcons playmaker, Ngozi Okobi, clocked 25 on Friday.

An archetypical midfielder who prefers to slot behind the striker, Okobi has always mesmerized rival teams while wearing the green and white jersey.

Her recent exploits were at the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) in which Nigeria retained the title.

Okobi started all the games, dazzling all the way to the trophy.

It was no surprise the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) rolled the drums as she entered her one-quarter century.

Besides the latest conquest in Ghana, Okobi has won the African title on three other occasions – 2010, 2014 and 2016.

The 25-year-old began her career at Delta Queens in 2006, where she attracted the interest of the national team handlers.

She represented Nigeria at the U17 and U20 cadres before graduating the Falcons.

Okobi is currently contracted to Eskilstuna United DFF in Sweden.
