Paris St-Germain forward Neymar has been handed a three-match ban by UEFA for insulting match officials on Instagram after defeat to Manchester United in Champions League last-16.

Referee Damir Skomina gave United a late penalty after using the video assistant referee system, a decision which the Brazilian called a “disgrace” on social media.

The 27-year-old had said: “It’s a disgrace. Four guys who know nothing about football watch a slow-motion replay in front of the television.”

Neymar sat out the second leg of the game against United due to injury.

He will now miss half of next season’s Champions League group stage.
