NEMA calls for blood donation to save victims of terrorist attacks

boko haram terror attack1Director-General, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr Muhammad Sani-Sidi, on Tuesday called on the public to donate blood to assist in treating victims of bomb blasts in parts of the country.

It said that the appeal was urgent to help for the survival of victims of recent explosions recorded in Borno, Yobe, Plateau and Kaduna states.

The statement said that the victims had been evacuated to various health facilities in Maiduguri, Jos and the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika, where they are receiving treatment.

According to the statement, Sani-Sidi appreciates the quick response in the evacuation of the victims and assures of the immediate support of NEMA in providing drugs and medical consumables for their treatment.
