Ndidi boycotts social media after first Premier League red card

Wilfred Ndidi Leicester City

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has unusually remained mute on social media since receiving his maiden red card in the Premier League.

Ndidi, while celebrating his 21st birthday, got an unwanted card as present on Saturday.

The enterprising midfielder was shown a second yellow for simulation as Leicester City crashed 3-0 at home to Crystal Palace.

That appears to have derailed the one-time fun youngster known for his weekly updates on the social space.

There’s been no word whatsoever from the Nigerian, who would have tendered an apology to the Foxes’ faithful to say the least.

Prior to Saturday’s debacle, Ndidi had played every minute of the Foxes 18 games and bagged Man of the Match in the last encounter with Newcastle.

But his fine streak has hit the rocks he is expected to miss his club’s next three games.

Ndidi joined Leicester from Genk last January and has racked up over 40 appearances since then.
