Naira Marley arrives court for bail hearing

Singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has arrived the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos Thursday for his bail hearing.

The singer was spotted entering the court room in a black shirt and black jean.

Justice I.N. Oweibo had on May 20 ordered that the singer be remanded in prison till May 30 over allegations of internet fraud brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Naira Marley is facing 11 counts bordering on cybercrime for allegedly conniving with one Yad Isril (at large) to use Access card issued to other persons in a bid to obtain gain, an offence contrary to Section 27(1) (b) of the Cybercrime Prohibition, Prevention Act 2015.

He has denied the charges.

The ‘Am I a Yahoo Boy?’ singer was arrested on May 10 alongside colleague, Omoniyi Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, and three others.

Zlatan and others had long been released.
