Rapper Skales has continued to lament his ordeal with officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), adding that his six-month-old baby was dropped during the raid.

Skales whose real name is John Njeng Njeng made the claim in a series of posts shared on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“This my 6-month-old wey no let me sleep wey I finally come put to sleep.. them con wake am…. Useless agency @officialEFCC with your ugly faces. Because of @officialEFCC the mother of my child was scared and mistakenly dropped my daughter … the family didn’t want to let me know they are just telling me now cos I for run mad,” he wrote with a photo of his daughter.

“I feel very unsafe,” Skales wrote in another post.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) earlier confirmed raiding the Skale’s residence, adding that two suspected internet fraudsters were arrested.

The statement published on X said, “Operatives of the Lagos Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, arrested two suspected internet fraudsters at House F10, Victoria Crest 4, Lekki, Lagos. The suspects: Udemba Chukwuemeka (a.k.a Jody) and Jamal Jamiu Onasola (a.k.a. Jamal) were arrested at the residence of a musician: John Njeng Njeng (a.k.a Skales).

“The two suspects, suspected of being involved in a dating scam, described Njeng as their ‘mentor’. While Chukwuemeka has been in Njeng’s residence for two years, Onasola has only stayed there for a few months.

“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.”
