Not even a recent brain surgery can rob comedian, Julius Agwu, of his sense of humour.

A day after posting picture of his mom who came to Lagos confirm if he was truly alive on social media, Julius told qed.ng that the elated senior citizen has returned to her farm in Rivers State.

Speaking in a brief telephone conversation with Qed.ng, the Choba-born funny man thanked his immediate family and all who have shown solidarity since news of his ailment broke.

“My brother, my mom has gone back to take care of her farm. You know she no dey play with the thing. Most importantly, she is very happy I am alive,” he told this publication.

She has however not stopped praying for him.

His songs of praise continued.

Every sentence came with “I give all the glory to God”. He is the one that saved me”.

He gave assurance that the London edition of his annual Crack Ya Ribs comedy show will hold on August 30 as planned.

Venue is 291, Mare Street, Hackney, London.

“It is the tenth anniversary of the show and we want to use the opportunity to thank all those who have been with us over the years.

“Friends like Okey Bakassi, I Go Dye and AY are supporting me”.

Others confirmed to perform are Kojo Comedian, Seyi Brown, Oyinbo Princess and Korede Bello.

Still mindful of his health, Julius said he is concentrating on the most important things at the moment but assured fans that Crack Ya Ribs in London will surpass people’s expectations.

It will be recalled that Julius had brain surgery on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at the Park Plaza Hospital in Houston Texas, United States of America.

He sent a BlackBerry broadcast on Wednesday, July 8 with the hashtag #GODISGOOD.
