Mountain Black, one-half of popular music duo, Danfo Driver, has said that his deceased partner, Mad Melon, was abandoned by the music industry.
In an interview with punchng.com, he said that they had been managing themselves since they became famous despite being abandoned.
“Yes, he was neglected (by the music industry). We became popular in 2003, and we had been managing ourselves since then.
“I believe that with God, all things are possible. We believed in ourselves, and that is why we were still relevant in the industry till now. The industry is very wide; you can fix yourself anywhere and make your money. We were, also, both involved in transportation business,” he said.
Earlier in the week, Daddy Showkey announced the passing of Mad Melon.
The late musician, Omeofa Oghene, popularly known as Mad Melon reportedly passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
Danfo Driver was known for their signature Galala-infused music.
They came to popularity for hit single ‘I am a Danfo Driver, Suo.’
