MTN chairman Ernest Ndukwe loses mother

Chairman of MTN Nigeria Ernest Ndukwe has lost his mother Dame Adaora Ndukwe. She was aged 97.

The family announced her demise in a statement by A.C. Ndukwe. According to the release, a commendation service for the deceased will hold at 1.00 pm on May 6 at Our Saviours Church, Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos.

This will be followed by a session of tributes at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The deceased was born into the Nwokolo family and married into the Ndukwe family of Orafitie in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.

A trained nurse, she was educated variously in Nigeria and overseas. She had a successful career in nursing, rising to the pinnacle of her profession and retired meritoriously as a matron.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, in-laws and other relations.
