Mr Macaroni leads #SARSMUSTEND protest in UNILAG

Mr Macaroni

Social media comedian Mr Macaroni on Monday led a protest codenamed #SARSMUSTEND at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

In a tweet, Mr Macaroni born Debo Adebayo called on Lagosians who reside close to UNILAG to join in the protest.

“If u are around unilag, let’s meet at Unilag Gate!! We are here! Start falling in,” he wrote.

“We move from 10:00 am!! Police are waiting for us already… wherever you are, try to fall in at the nearest protest grounds!!”

Despite the disbandment of the controversial Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force, protesters have refused to back down.

They are asking police authorities to desist from the temptation to regroup the disbanded unit with another name.

Mr Macaroni had on October 8 led a protest at the Lagos State House of Assembly in Alausa and spent the night there with some other protesters.

He will be leading another protest in Ikeja on Tuesday.
