Mohbad, Zinoleesky risk 12 years in jail as NDLEA recovers drugs

Music artistes Mohbad and Zinoleesky might be facing a 12 year jail time following their arrest by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for alleged possession of illicit drugs.

NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi confirmed that the singers were arrested during a raid in the early hours of Thursday.

He said: “We raided their apartment based on information that they had drugs, and indeed, we recovered cannabis and molly from their home and car. Six persons were arrested in all. Two females and four males.”

The possession of cannabis is illegal in Nigeria and punishable by a minimum of 12 years in prison.

Marlian Nation boss, Naira Marley, reacting to the news said that he was angry that his associates Mohbad and Zino have been arrested.

“I’m so fucking angry RN walahi,” he wrote on Instagram.

Naira Marley born Azeez Fashola is being tried on 11 counts bordering on conspiracy, possession of counterfeit credit cards and fraud.

He was first arrested in May 2019 by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
