Ministerial nominee Bosun Tijani approved as visiting professor at South African university

One of the screened ministerial nominees Bosun Tijani has announced that the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa has approved his application as a visiting adjunct professor.

The varsity is a multi-campus public research institution situated in Johannesburg.

Mr Tijani, who is awaiting inauguration as a federal minister, tweeted on Thursday words from the varsity to him.

The appointment takes effect from September 1, 2023.

He tweeted: “The committee approved your application as Visiting Adjunct Professor: Wits School of Governance, University of the Witwatersrand, with effect from 1 September 2023 for a period of 3 years until 31 August 2026.”

Tijani was among 45 of President Bola Tinubu’s 48 ministerial nominees cleared and confirmed by the Senate this week.

He is a native of Ogun State and the CEO and co-founder of CcHub.

During his screening, he apologised to senators for calling them “morons” in a 2021 tweet.
