Super Eagles Captain, Mikel Obi, has hailed the list of invited players released by Head Coach Gernot Rohr on Monday.

Mikel, 31, is the oldest member of the 30-man squad for the showpiece in Russia.

Despite the notable omissions of experienced duo Vincent Enyeama and Brown Ideye, the Tianjin TEDA captain says he’s content with the team.

“The list is okay to me,” the ex-Chelsea star was quoted by AOIFootball.

“It’s a good list and I’m happy with it.”

Mikel has been a regular face in the national team since making his debut in 2006.

He will be gunning for his second World Cup appearance in Russia after missing the 2010 edition in South Africa through injury.
