Actor Mike Ezuruonye, actress Omoborty, commedianne Princess and other celebrities have offered prayers and words of encouragement to Iyabo Ojo after a fire gutted the actress’s office in Lagos.

Iyabo announced the incident in an Instagram post on Tuesday, revealing that the fire occurred in the evening around 7 p.m.

“This just happened today the 8th of July 2025, around 7 pm. My office building caught fire. Thank you to the Nigerian Fire Service and my staff for salvaging what was left. Thankfully no lives were lost,” she wrote.

“The devil tested us today but God said no. With God on my side we will bounce back bigger and better.”

Mike Ezuruonye led the flood of support in her comment section, writing:
“You stay above always… God’s Own.”

Actress Omoborty (Biodun Okeowo) wrote:
“Jesus! Glory be to God for safety! 🙏🙏 May God replenish in zillions all lost. Amen.”

Comedianne Princess added:
“What is coming is better than what is lost in Jesus’ mighty name. No evil will befall you or staff. God is worthy to be praised.”

Actor Kunle Afod commented:
“God is grateful. In all situations we need to thank God.”

Actress Liz Da Silva wrote:

Although the cause of the fire and the extent of damage have not been disclosed, Iyabo confirmed that no lives were lost. She also shared a video showing the aftermath of the fire.

The actress, who owns the Fespris brand, has enjoyed success both in film and business. Her latest production Labake Olododo debuted earlier this year to critical acclaim.
