Damilola Mike-Bamiloye, son of the founder and president of the film production company Mount Zion Faith Ministries and Mount Zion Television, Mike Bamiloye, has prayed for a foreign audience in Yoruba language.

Damilola prayed in his mother tongue while representing his father at the recently held International Christian Visual Media Association (ICVM) event.

He said in an Instagram post on Thursday that it was an honour to represent his father at the event.

“My father was invited as one of the Speakers in this year’s event – the 50th Annual Conference. But He could not make it because of other previous commitments here in Nigeria, so I was invited to represent him and the Lord helped me,” he wrote.

Damilola gave a 20-minute speech on ‘Faith-based movie-making in Nigeria and the impacts in African Nations.’

He wrote, “The making of Christian movies in Nigeria has commanded the attention of the Western world and the faith-based movie makers in America and Europe. They have observed that Nigeria Drama ministers and Christian film-makers have impacted the African nations and Africans in diaspora. So the invitation was to speak on the secrets and the motivations for this move.”

“One of the high point of the international film festival was when I was invited to pray for the whole crowd in my mother tongue, YORUBA LANGUAGE,” he added.

Commending his son, Bamiloye also wrote on Instagram, “He projected the Nigerian Christian Filmmakers, he made Drama Ministers Proud, he lifted up the flag of Jesus Christ. He represented Nigeria well.”
