Big Brother Naija 2019 winner Mercy Eke has explained what she meant in a video making the rounds, saying she was referring to critics who were putting pressure on her to endorse a housemate in the reality show currently airing.
Hours after her video met negative reactions on Wednesday, the 26-year-old tweeted: “I was talking to those who were tarnishing my image on Twitter because I decided to stay neutral. I love all housemates equally, and everyone knows I’m a thankful person. Your narrative will never change my personality.”
In another post, she wrote: “For those who already knew that the clip was edited short without any shalaye thank you for knowing me.”
Mercy Eke had earlier been called out for a statement she made in a live video on Instagram that appeared to degrade those who watch Big Brother Naija.
