Dozens of worshippers were feared killed when suicide bombers targeted a mosque in Mulai, a suburb in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital on Thursday
“All the people in the mosque died. Not a single one escaped,” said Muhtari Ahmadu, a trader near the scene, while another witness said he had counted at least 42 bodies after the blasts.
Two explosions were heard at about 6:20pm, the second time terrorists suspected to be Boko Haram members will be attacking Maiduguri in three days.
PREMIUM TIMES reported an unnamed Civilian JTF official saying “We have two bomb explosions this evening in Mulai near a mosque there.
“The bombings happened during prayer time. One cannot immediately give details of the incident but I have sent my boys over there and am still waiting for their report from the scene.”
