Mansurah Isah kicks as Tinubu revokes appointment of Imam Kashim as FERMA chairman after outrage

Kannywood actress Mansurah Isah has kicked against the withdrawal of Imam Kashim earlier nominated as chairman of the board of directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) by President Bola Tinubu.

The appointment of the 24-year-old fresh graduate had sparked outrage from party members and political observers.

Announcing the withdrawal of the nomination, presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale said in a statement on Thursday: “President Bola Tinubu has directed the withdrawal of the nomination of Engr. Imam Kashim Imam to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

“The President’s withdrawal of the above-mentioned nomination is directed with immediate effect.

“All other appointments to the Board and Executive Management team of FERMA are not affected by this directive.”

Reacting in an Instagram post on Thursday, Mansurah who wrote in Hausa language, condemned the act and pointed out that the same thing happened with former ministerial nominee Maryam Shettima who was replaced with Mariya Mahmoud, her former classmate.
