International pop star, Madonna, took to her Instagram page on Thursday to show support to the victims of the Baga massacre calling the act “barbaric and heartbreaking”.
The news which has been making the rounds has garnered international attention and the singer isn’t the only one concerned about it. The likes of Nicki Minaj and Common have also come out to condemn the act by the Boko Haram sect.
Putting up a picture showing a couple of northern girls, she captioned it saying, “Why aren’t we talking about Nigeria? Boko Haram has killed 2000 people in an attack in Northern Nigeria! Barbaric and heartbreaking! We must stop the violence and support Nigerian people! #iamnigeria #revolutionoflove.”
In another post, she added, “The people of Nigeria matter too! I am not just Charlie #iamnigeria #rebelheart”
