Lizzy Anjorin pays tribute to late Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi

Actress Lizzy Anjorin has paid tribute to the late Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.

The monarch passed on on Friday at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.

Reacting to his death in an Instagram post on Saturday, Lizzy in her tribute described him as one with too much wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

“YOUR GOOD DEED LIVES ON BAAMI ATANDA ABESE KU BI OJO. TOO MUCH WISDOM. TOO MUCH KNOWLEDGE. TOO MUCH UNDERSTANDING. ABIWA PELE BI ADABAONINUREBABA GBOGBO EVWE. 83YERAS ON EARTH. 53YEARS ON THE THRONE STRONGEST MONACH EVER LIVETH GOOD NIGHT BAAMI,” she wrote.

In another post, Lizzy wrote: “ATANDA THE MERCIFUL ATANDA OSHAABIAMON TOOTOALANU AWON OM0 TI NI BABATHANK YOU FOR THE GIFT OF LOVE SIR WE WILL MISS YOU BAAMI@83.”

Crowned on January 14, 1971, Adeyemi sat on the throne of his fathers for 51 years as the longest-reigning Alaafin.

His first son Prince Tunde and other children received his body at Idi-Igba, Oyo town on Saturday morning.
