Alternative music act, Adekunle Gold, has claimed that the life of Nigerian citizens means nothing in the country.

The 32-year-old singer said this in a tweet on Wednesday.

“People’s lives mean absolutely nothing to us in this country,” he wrote.

Adekunle Gold accused the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), of lying in their statement about a man shot dead by officials of the Customs Service.

He insisted that the Customs Service was undermining the intelligence of Nigerians with the release by its spokesperson, Joseph Attah.

A video of officials of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) shooting a man dead went viral on Sunday.

Joseph Attah, confirmed that the incident occurred on Sunday at the Sagamu Interchange, along Ijebu Ode.

Mr Attah said the incident occurred during an attempt to obstruct the lawful performance of duty by passengers of a commercial bus.
