Veteran galala singer, Daddy Showkey, on Monday has noted that the life of Nigerian citizens holds no value to security agencies.

The 48-year-old music veteran was making a reaction to the viral video of the fatal shooting of a man by officials of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS).

In a video broadcast on Instagram Live, Daddy Showkey, decried the incessant attacks on Nigerians journeying by road.

He added that he had also been threatened in the past.

In another video, he attacked the statement released by the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), referring to it as “primitive”

A video of officials of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) shooting a man dead went viral on Sunday.

NCS spokesperson, Joseph Attah, confirmed that the incident occurred on Sunday at the Sagamu Interchange, along Ijebu Ode.

He said that the man who was shot was a friend of the officials not a commuter.

Mr Attah said the incident occurred during an attempt to obstruct the lawful performance of duty by passengers of a commercial bus.
