Manager and fans of Premier League champions, Leicester City, have hailed Nigeria youngster, Wilfred Ndidi, after his grand debut in the FA CUP on Saturday.

The 20-year-old, who trained just twice after finalising his £15 million move from Genk, featured from start to finish as the Foxes beat Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park.

Claudio Ranieri started the Nigerian alongside Nampalys Mendy and Danny Drinkwater in a three-man midfield with Ndidi making a good account of himself.

“Ndidi trained just two training sessions with us but played with fantastic personality,” Ranieri said after the game.

“He recovered a lot of balls and played well. For a 20-year-old to make his first game against Everton, it’s unbelievable.”

The fans who are yet to recover from N’Golo Kante’s shock move to Chelsea were happy to see his successor impress on his debut.

However, Ndidi was quick to applaud the fans and match-winner, Ahmed Musa, for making his first game in English football a memorable one.

The young lad will most definitely make his Premier League and home debut against table toppers, Chelsea, next Saturday.
