Leah Sharibu, a female student of Government Girls Science and Technical Secondary School, Dapchi, kidnapped by Boko Haram on February 19, 2018, on Thursday clocked 17 in captivity.

Dapchi community is in Bursari Local Government Area of Yobe State.

Over 110 students of the school were kidnapped on that day.

Although the other girls were released, Sharibu has been held back since then for refusing to denounce her Christian faith.

While the Federal Government has repeatedly assured it was doing its best to rescue Sharibu, it was reported in January that she was delivered of a baby boy.

It was also learnt that Sharibu was given in marriage to a top Boko Haram commander who lives outside Nigeria.

The schoolgirl was said to have put to bed in Niger Republic.
