Actor Lateef Adedimeji has emerged as one of the top nominees for the 2026 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, with the nomination list unveiled on Sunday night.
Lateef secured five nominations, including Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actor with two mentions and Best Indigenous Movie. His film Lisabi also earned a nomination for Best Makeup.
The nominations show that The Herd, directed by Daniel Etim-Effiong, leads this year with nine nominations across major and technical categories.
Actress Sola Sobowale received nominations in both lead and supporting categories, while Uzor Arukwe also featured in multiple categories.
Actress Genoveva Umeh earned her first Best Lead Actress nomination, marking a notable milestone in her career.
The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards is an annual event organised by MultiChoice to celebrate achievements in television and film across Africa.
