Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, says he has tested negative for the coronavirus.

Mr Mohammed said on Thursday in response to a reporter during a press briefing in Abuja that he got tested on Wednesday.

Minister of State for Health, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, also said he tested negative for the virus.

Mamora said he went into self-isolation after coming in contact with someone who tested positive for the virus.

“Following my contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, I went into self-isolation. Testing was carried out on me yesterday (Wednesday) and the result came back negative this morning (Thursday),” he told via SMS.

More ministers are expected to have themselves checked after the President’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, and three of his aides tested positive for coronavirus.
