Lagos monarch, Saheed Elegushi, eulogises father on 10th death anniversary

Elegushi of Ikateland, His Royal Majesty Oba Saheed Elegushi, Kusenla III, has eulogised his father who passed on in 2009.

In a post on Instagram on Monday, the Lagos monarch said his late father remained his family’s ‘hero, pathfinder and architect’.

“Today, ten years ago, a lush green leaf turned brown, ending a season. Daddy, you remain our hero; the pathfinder & architect. You charted the course for our development as a family and as a people. You live in our hearts, today and always,” he wrote.

Oba Elegushi celebrated his ninth coronation anniversary in April.

The 21st monarch of Ikate-Elegushi was said to be the youngest Lagos monarch on his coronation on April 27, 2010.

He was born on April 10, 1976, into the royal Elegushi family, from Kusenla ruling house of Ikateland, Lagos.

Before his coronation, the monarch was part of the administration of former Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu, and also that of Babatunde Fashola as senior special assistant in charge of special duties.
