Kogi records 3rd coronavirus case as Nigeria’s total exceeds 11,000

Kogi State has recorded its third coronavirus (COVID-19) case, according to figures released on Wednesday night by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The agency said on Twitter that Nigeria recorded a total of 348 new cases of COVID-19.

The new cases are spread across the following states — Lagos-163; FCT-76; Ebonyi-23; Rivers-21; Delta-8; Nasarawa-8; Niger-8 and Enugu-6.

Others are Bauchi-5; Edo-5; Ekiti-5; Ondo-5; Gombe-5; Benue-4; Ogun-2; Osun-1; Plateau-1; Kogi-1 and Anambra-1.

The new cases, NCDC announced, bring total infections in Nigeria to 11,166 while 3329 have been successfully treated and discharged.

It also said one COVID-19 death was recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the death tally to 315.
