Kim Kardashian breaks social media silence, snubs Instagram for Facebook

American reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, has snubbed her beloved social media site, Instagram, preferring to break her one-month silence on Facebook instead.

Kim, who has more than 86 million followers on Instagram alone, has decided to stay off the social media site as she has not uploaded videos or pictures of herself since October 2, a day before she was robbed in Paris

The 36-year-old however posted an old picture of herself on Facebook on Monday to promote her favourite line of cell phone cases.

She also posted an old video of her childhood with her late father, Robert Kardashian, and sister, Kourtney.

The video shows her father, filming her and Kourtney on Halloween when they were two and three years old respectively.

Kim has been quiet since her robbery ordeal in her Hôtel de Pourtalès apartment in Paris by five masked men, who tied her up at gunpoint and made off with jewellery worth up to $10million.

The mother-of-two quietly returned to Twitter on October 13 to reduce the list of her following from 121 to 108.
