Actress and skit maker Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, has penned an emotional and humorous tribute to her father as he marked his 70th birthday, revealing the striking similarities they share—especially in personality and humour.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Kiekie shared regal photos of her father in a white agbada and praised him for being a selfless and loving parent who shaped her values and faith.
“Today I celebrate the man that birth me! The man that showed me and taught what true love is. The man who taught me how to pray and love Jesus,” she wrote.
She praised his patience, humility, and unwavering support, saying he always puts family first and remains her rock no matter the time of day. “A very non-judgmental and super supportive father… Your virtues are HUMILITY, LOVE AND PATIENCE and every day I pray to God to grant me the grace to be able to walk in your shoes.”
Kiekie didn’t miss a chance to inject humour into her heartfelt note, joking about how much of her fun-loving personality comes from him. “If you think I’m spontaneous and mad with wordplay, then you haven’t met my Dad. Ask @iamvjadams about it o sick,” she wrote.
She also joked about inheritance in true Kiekie fashion: “I see myself in you a lot and that is the best gift I could ever ask for. Not like if you give me one petrol station I’ll complain.”
The media star concluded her post with prayers for longevity and divine health. “I pray this grace will carry you to 80 years and beyond in Jesus name. Christ won’t forsake you! Neither will He depart from you. I love you sooo much DADDY.”
Kiekie, a fast-rising content creator, actress and TV host, is known for her dramatic delivery and fashion-forward presence online.
