Police have rescued Ann Unenge wife of Benue commissioner for land and survey who was kidnapped on July 29.

Mrs. Unenge was reportedly taken to the police headquarters in Benue following the successful rescue operation on Monday.

Three suspects, reports say, were shot dead by the police.

The commissioner’s wife was waylaid on returning from Daudu town where she went to visit her parents.

It was not immediately clear if her vehicle, a Toyota Highlander, which was reportedly taken away by the gunmen was recovered.
