#JusticeForComfortBenjamin: Outrage over girl raped, murdered a day to 16th birthday in Jos

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to call for justice for a teenage girl Comfort Benjamin allegedly raped and murdered in Jos North, Plateau State.

A poster that has been shared multiple times on Twitter reads that she went missing on May 22 on the eve of her 16th birthday.

She was reportedly found in Nasarawa Gwong on May 23 naked and lifeless.

According to the poster, the police were notified of her disappearance.

Daser David, an aide of Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong, said the police were investigating the case.

“Took a snapshots of all the tweets on #JusticeForComfortBenjamin to the Plateau state commissioner of police. He assured that the case is currently under investigation,” he tweeted on Saturday.

“We hope and pray for the very best outcome from this and that justice is served.”
