Actress Jumoke George has expressed heartfelt gratitude to her colleague Biola Adebayo and generous Nigerians after receiving a four-bedroom duplex, a plot of land and an SUV—months after publicly seeking help over her health and housing challenges.
The actress had earlier gone viral following an emotional interview with Biola Bayo, where she revealed she had been ill and homeless for six years.
Following massive public support, Biola Adebayo took to Instagram on Sunday evening to share the update, posting photos of Jumoke in her new home and car.
“Today, we present a four-bedroom duplex, SUV, and a plot of land to Jumoke George. Thanks to everyone who made this dream a reality,” Biola wrote.
In an appreciation note on Instagram on Monday, Jumoke praised God and thanked all who stood by her, including those who donated, prayed, or supported her in any way.
“I’m here today to give my maker, the owner of my soul all the Glory, Honour and Adorations,” she wrote. “I thank HIM for where HE’S bringing me, for where I am today and for the place HE’S taking me… I praise HIM bcos HE LISTENS AND ANSWERS PRAYERS.”
She added: “On my knees I say A BIG THANK YOU to you all, those who dipped their hands into their pockets to go extra mile in making sure my life and those of my children have a wonderful turnaround… You all shall live to reap and eat the good fruits and everything you ever laboured for.”
Jumoke also mentioned that her daughter, who had been trafficked to Mali, has now been brought back to Nigeria.
Addressing Biola Bayo directly, she wrote: “@biolabayo1, thank you for being whom you are… thank you for allowing God to use you to rewrite my story and as my Angel of turnaround.”
She ended her note with a heartfelt Yoruba message: “Modupe pupo mo mo’on lo’ore o. Oju konitiyin,” meaning “I am deeply grateful. You will never cry.”
