Filmmaker Judith Audu has announced that her new movie EVI will be the official closing film for the 6th edition of the Coal City Film Festival 2026 in Enugu.

Audu shared the news on her Instagram page on Saturday, saying that the movie will have its official premiere in the South East.

She wrote: “Hellooooooo Fam! I come bearing good news, especially if you are in Enugu! The movie of the moment EVI is the Official Closing Film for the 6th Edition of Coal City Film Festival 2026, and more than that, this will be its official premiere in the South East. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew.

“This isn’t just a film. It’s a story of music, survival, and second chances. The kind that reaches deep, holds you still, and reminds you why stories matter. As the festival draws to a close, EVI will take us on an emotional journey, one that celebrates resilience, the healing power of music, and the courage to start again.

“If you’ve been part of this experience, this is the moment you don’t want to miss. Come for the story. Stay for the feeling it leaves behind. Let’s end on a high note. Date: 28th March, 2026. Venue: Nile Cinema Spar Mall, Enugu.”

EVI began screening in cinemas on Friday, following a premiere in Lagos. The movie is a musical drama produced by Judith Audu in partnership with Switch Visuals Productions, Signet Rings and NOI Productions. It was written and directed by Uyoyou Adia and distributed by FilmOne.

The cast of EVI includes Osas Okonyon in the title role, with Uzor Arukwe, Omowunmi Dada, Ibrahim Suleiman, Waje Iruobe and Femi Branch in key roles.
