Joe Abah gets new government appointment

Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has appointed the former Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Joe Abah, as the state consultant on donor support and grants.

Dr Abah announced the new appointment in a tweet on Monday.

He said: “I am honoured to have been appointed by His Excellency, the Governor of Ebonyi State, as the ‘State Consultant on Donor Support and Grants.’ I look forward to supporting the state government on its engagement with donors, a role I have played informally for years.”

Abah is among nine consultants appointed by Umahi to assist the government in various areas such as security, agriculture, education, internally generated revenue (IGR), solid mineral development, environment among others.

The other appointees are Obi Umahi (security), Emmanuel Onwe (vocational studies), Hyginus Nwokwu (education), John Eke (private education), and Fred Udeogu (lands).

Also on the list is Chijioke Uwa (environment), Mike Abani (IGR), and Chima Onyekwere (solid minerals).
