Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has told fans to beware of an internet fraudster using his name to scam people.
The movie star made this known in a video he posted on Instagram on Monday.
According to him, the unidentified scammer opened a Facebook page with over 841k followers in his name, asking people to donate money to a lady said to be ill.
Warning fast against falling a victim, he wrote: “DISCLAIMER!!!!!!! It has come to the notice of I Prince Babajide Kosoko that some scammers are using my name to perpetrate fraud claiming to be raising funds for a sick woman.
“I do not know anything about this,I have no prior knowledge of this and I totally dissociate myself from the scam. I appreciate and love you all my well-wishers and fans out there and I do not want you all to fall victim…..Thank you all for your love..”
